As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Patent Attorney to join our amazing team and take on a varied role that offers exposure to many different aspects of patent law.  

About the Role:

In this role, you will use your expertise to advise clients on all aspects of patent and design registrations, helping them protect their inventions both locally and internationally. We value commitment, excellence, ownership, integrity, teamwork, and a systems-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in Australia, New Zealand, and globally.
  • Provide commercial IP advice to clients.
  • Handle new client enquiries.
  • Deliver presentations on IP topics to industry bodies and key stakeholders.
  • Engage in networking events, seminars, and business development activities.

About You:

  • Degree qualified with at least 4 years post qualification experience in IP.
  • Strong mechanical and technical background (essential).
  • Exceptional patent drafting abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
  • Desire to be challenged and willingness to engage with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
