The event occurs at the crossroads of several important trends. Firstly, the British judiciary continuously illustrates thought leadership, at the international level. Yet, UK judgments occur in the era of the Unified Patent Court. How will the relationship between the UPC and the UK will play out? Another important trend is that the UK Government has made telecommunications, quantum, AI and other emerging technologies a key policy objective. This means that UK policymakers will continue to focus on competitiveness and thoroughly assess IP and competition matters. The event aims to contribute to this debate.
