UPC Series: Representation before the UPC

When and where

Date and time

Start: Tuesday 17 May 2022, 12:30 PM

End: Tuesday 17 May 2022, 01:30 PM

Event Overview

Many CIPA members will have automatic rights to apply to represent clients before the Unitary Patent Court.  Whether you want to run infringement proceedings, central revocation proceedings or simply manage your clients’ opts outs or withdrawals, there is benefit to being on the register.

This webinar will review the European Patent Litigation Certificate regulations.

Initially, Vicki Salmon will review the grandfather provisions for registering for representation rights before the UPC and the time table and process for doing this.

Then Duncan Matthews and Dave Musker will outline QM’s plans for seeking accreditation as a provider of EPLCs in partnership with CIPA and the provision of training for those who may wish to brush up on procedure, even though they already have the relevant qualifications.
