Seaweed is among the fastest growing sources of biomass on Earth. It benefits the marine environment by capturing carbon, releasing oxygen, and providing a habitat for marine life. Former trawlerman and Royal Navy Officer Wave Crookes has invented a modular system for growing seaweed which CIPA has nominated for an Earthshot Prize. Wave and his patent attorney Craig Morris, of HGF, talk to Lee and Gwilym about Wave’s company, SeaGrown,and why growing seaweed is so good for the planet.
