Trademark Attorneys who have a business development background, perhaps you’ve won clients in the past, have a network of contacts that you’ve cultivated or love going to conferences?
Trademark Attorneys with a client base that are reasonably likely to follow them to a new firm.
For the firm, the main driver of this project is growth but they are pragmatic enough to realise that delivering a client following can be very difficult and without guarantee and so a track record in business building will suffice. They’re also pragmatic about timescales, you can be very open with them about what will be realistic over what time period and they will accommodate as best they can without applying unrealistic pressure or demands.
Beyond this, they have a real motivation to have more attorneys in senior and leadership positions which should mean that you have realistic and achievable scope for career progression.
